Overview of the nanoscale world that pervades our lives; fundamental concepts in materials properties and structure; dynamics in the nanoscale that include atomic interactions and energy kinetics; nanoengineering utilized in fabrication and characterization technologies; social implications of nanoscale materials and technology, including ethical, legal, and environmental impacts.
