Prerequisite: Junior/Senior status, PSY101 or Social Work major. Major issues in child abuse and neglect from a social work viewpoint; the nature of abuse and neglect, the actual incidence, workings of the current child-protection system; intervention and treatment issues; the role of other disciplines and the larger society.
